My favorite teacher is Mrs. Aguilera. Mrs. Aguilera, also known as Coach A, has helped me through my years of high school. She is a math teacher as well one of the Varsity softball coaches. I had her my freshman year for IM2 Honors and failed her class first semester. Luckily she had a plan for me. She talked to my counselor to make sure I was put in the proper classes the following semester. When I had tried out for the softball team, I made Frosh and JV and was put in the softball class that semester as well. In that period of time, our relationship grew. My sophomore year I was put into Mr. Sierra’s IM2 Honors class and barely passed. Coach A heard of this and went straight to my counselor to put me in her regular IM2 class. While being in her class she helped me a lot. She made sure I did all my work and that I understood. When in softball class, if we had study hall she made sure I was always doing math, since that is my hardest subject. She tutored me as well as made sure I always did my best of my capability. She is a big reason why my math ability is so good compared to the past. Unfortunately, she is not my math teacher this year nor my coach, and we’ve slowly lost connection because I get super busy with other work. But when I do see her, it’s as I still have her class. Mrs. Aguilera has always been there for me and has taught me many things. Not only math, but a variety of subjects. She’s always been a listening ear when I needed to talk, and she’s been completely honest with me from the start. When I decided to not play softball, she was supportive. When I was struggling, she was my helping hand. When I was feeling low about myself, she was my confidence boost. Mrs. Aguilera is funny, honest, sarcastic, motivational, supportive, and one of the most friendliest teachers I know. I don’t know where I’d be in my junior year without her. She is one of those teachers I’ll just never forget. And I lover her for that.
