For my favorite teacher I chose my first period teacher Mr. Rubio. I like Mr. Rubio because he actively tries to get the students attention when he is teaching. He will do things like compare what he is teaching to his own experiences or hypothetical situations. He does not just make us read and write from the textbook and usually does things like PowerPoints, videos, or projects. He also implements online games that relates to what we are learning. Mr. Rubio always tries to be funny to get the classes attention and for the most part is not too strict. He will answer some of the questions in the morning as he would if he were in class. He always calls people things like brother bear or executive. He is understanding and lets people turn in things as long as it’s by the end of the day sometimes. Mr. Rubio always tries to connect with us and talk about things he thinks we are interested in. He explains assignments as much as he can and always helps people who ask. He likes to play music as we work so that the classroom is not just silence. Mr. Rubio always seems to be in a good mood and does not get too mad at us. While many people seem to think he is a bit weird, I just like to think of him as fun and lively.
